Lauren Espitia of Tykes & Teens is passionate about using creative media strategies to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment. She is the creator and co-host of a new Podcast titled Flip Your Lid. The podcast explores how historical figures and recognized celebrities turn mental health barriers into opportunities for success.
Lauren spent more than five years as the Martin County entertainment columnist for TCPalm/The Stuart News, and performs as a singer/actress when time allows. She studied theatre at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and spent two years working for Blue Man Group Productions in New York City. She was the recipient of the FPRA Treasure Coast Chapter 2018 Communicator of the Year Award for Outstanding Public Relations for a Nonprofit Organization.
Lauren currently serves as Director of Marketing & Communications for Tykes & Teens where she is responsible for creating and managing all marketing and public relations strategies, managing media relations including social media, and researching and writing corporate and foundation grants.
